Hi there! I'm Alvi, a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at William & Mary, where I work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software Engineering (SE). My research focuses on Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) techniques for large code models, exploring how we can make these models more adaptable and efficient for real-world software development tasks. I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Antonio Mastropaolo as a member of the AURA Lab, where I contribute to research on AI4SE with particular emphasis on optimizing the performance and adaptability of code-focused AI models.

Before starting my Ph.D., I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Sylhet Engineering College in Bangladesh. My interest in AI began during my final year through deep learning projects in NLP, and I've been passionate about the field ever since. I've worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Mayalogy and later as a Software Engineer at Graaho, gaining hands-on experience building AI systems for real-world applications.

Outside research, I enjoy staying active and make time for the gym every day. I'm always happy to chat about AI, Software Engineering, or anything in between—feel free to reach out!
